AN ancient thresher barn and five landmark cottages are to be retained as part of a new 200-plus homes development on the outskirts of Exeter.
Top architects CSA have come up with a novel design for the 224 homes planned for a site off the old Chudleigh Road, near Wayland Avenue, which will follow the look of the old buildings. Justin Dodge, for CSA Architects, said: “The five buildings that make up Waybrook Cottages along with the thresher barn are wonderful and will be retained in the development.”
A planning application from Westcountry Land has been lodged with the city council and if all goes according to schedule, work could start on the site this time next year.”
