The site is located on the southern boundary of the existing, popular Cornish coastal town of Perranporth. The site is accessed via Liskey Hill, being one of the main routes into Perranporth connecting the town with Truro and Redruth. The development site extends to 4.2 Acres, is broadly square and is sandwiched between existing houses to the North and a holiday park to the South. In this context it is considered to be an infill site, appropriate for residential development.
Westcountry Land submitted a formal planning application in January 2016, within 3 months of concluding the legal agreement with the landowner. Planning permission was granted by planning committee in April 2016. The project demonstrates how quickly and efficiently Westcountry Land can operate.
