This site is sandwiched between the existing village of Mitchell and the A30 in central Cornwall. Mitchell represents a very convenient location within Cornwall, with close proximity and access to the A30 and is a very well located village for commuting to the major employment centres in the county.
The site itself extends to 3.2 Acres and Westcountry Land have engaged with the parish council from a very early stage to establish how they would like to see the site developed. Subsequently, it was established that the inclusion of a small convenience store for the village, which it currently lacks together with an identified need for public open space should be incorporated alongside any housing. Westcountry Land have designed a scheme to incorporate all of the requirements of the parish council together with 44 new homes of which 50% will be affordable.
