The site is located in the village of St Just-in-Roseland on the Roseland peninsula, 4 miles from St Mawes in Cornwall. This site is on the edge of the existing village, immediately adjoining the existing settlement boundary. Westcountry Land identified an exceptional need for affordable housing in this location and targeted this site to deliver truly affordable housing.
To ensure the best scheme for the location, we have actively engaged with the Parish Council and the Local Planning Authority, who had previously identified this site to deliver potential affordable housing for the community. We engaged a team of professional consultants to review all aspects of the site and to design an appropriate scheme. Planning permission was refused in Autumn 2014 and a planning appeal was also dismissed in January 2016.
