A development of 19 homes is proposed, to include 10 affordable homes and 9 open market, as a cross-subsidy scheme. The design is of the highest quality, taking inspiration from the character of the existing village. We held a public consultation in November 2012 and were pleased with the feedback, clear need and support for affordable homes in the village. Planning permission was refused by Cornwall Council but was subsequently granted at an appeal together with a full award of costs.
Ladock is a small village between Truro and St Austell, in Cornwall. Westcountry Land have a site on the eastern edge of the village, located immediately adjacent to the Primary School, Church and pedestrian footpath to the heart of the village. We have promoted the site to the local planning authority, for inclusion within the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) subsequently we have worked closely with Cornwall Council and the affordable housing team to prepare an appropriate scheme.
