Plans have been unveiled for a new 170-home development in Bodmin.

A planning application for a residential development comprising the construction of 170 dwellings with associated access, estate roads, infrastructure, open space and landscaping on land off Castle Street has been submitted by Red Planning Ltd.

The site is currently agricultural land and has been allocated for redevelopment by Cornwall Council.

The proposals include 16 one-bedroom flats, 46 two-bedroom flats and 20 two-bedroom houses, 62 three-bedroom houses and 26 four-bedroom houses.

The application, submitted on behalf of Westcountry Land & Homes (Bodmin) Ltd, PL Mudge, RTMudge and CDH Gatward, also proposes the creation of 372 parking spaces.
