Located just north of the A30 and M5 interchange at South West Exeter, the site is directly serviced by Chudleigh road, whilst also being connected to the A379. Westcountry Land & Homes first became involved with Alphington back in 2013. Since their involvement, Westcountry Land & Homes have successfully secured planning permission for the site to deliver 205 new homes, and have then delivered this to Barratt Homes to be developed. In addition to securing planning permission for Barratt Homes, Westcountry Land & Homes secured other land interests in the area and so since January 2020 work has begun on the retention and renovation of the 5 existing cottages and the conversion of a traditional stone barn into 3 houses. Westcountry Land & Homes have also retained land on the gateway of the South West Exeter expansion area and will be building a private rented apartment building containing 35 apartments. This building will be a key landmark building for Exeter.
